Reviving Mutuality and Membership

Reviving Mutuality and Membership, an occasional paper written by Professor Mark Lyons and Paul Simpson in early 2009, is available from the publications collection of the UTS Cosmopolitan Civil Societies Research Centre. The paper deals with the emerging weakness of member-serving or mutual organisations in Australia. The study canvassed not only literature on the immediate topic but a wider set of literature that takes in different disciplinary perspectives on mutuals, membership and related topics such as volunteering.
