Joint QOL and Utility Measures Workshop
Workshop on Quality of Life and Utility Measures in Cancer Research
Co-presented by Cancer Australia’s Quality of Life Office (QOLO) and Cancer Research Economics Support Team (CREST), this workshop will:
- Explain the rationale for assessing HRQOL/PROs in clinical studies and for economic evaluation
- Introduce QALYs and utilities
- Explain methods of measuring and valuing HRQOL, and how these differ
- Introduce the new cancer-specific utility instrument – the QLU-C10D (derived from the QLQ-C30)
Who should attend?
This workshop is for researchers, clinicians and trials operation staff working with the Cancer Australia Co-operative Trials Groups.
Format
The workshop includes lecture-based learning and group exercises, using a cancer-specific case study linking material throughout the day. Copies of the slides and references will be provided. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Participants will need to arrange their own travel to and from the workshop. Limited travel support is available upon application. Application deadline closes Friday 24 July 2015. Please email Dr Claudia Rutherford
