Taking criticism of the newly renovated MCA as a starting point, Open Conversation was the first major public event in the Make Space 4 Architecture series.

Hosted by BVN and UTS The School of Architecture the event, moderated by John de Manincor, saw participants Sam Marshall, Phillip Cox, Elizabeth Farrelly, Imogene Tudor and Andrew Donaldson debate the contentious new extension to the MCA, The Mordant Wing.

Reaction to the event has been mixed, and subject to much commentary, successfully achieving the objective to raise interest and stir debate amongst Architecture and critics alike.
