The Inner West Produces Prized Student


Yolanda Gil was a multi-award winner at the University of Technology, Sydneys Department of Design, Architecture and Built Environment Prize Giving Ceremony.


Newtown resident, Yolanda has taken out both the Chartered Institute of Building Australiasia Prize and the Grosvenor Master of Property Development Award, receiving $1300 for her outstanding academic performance. 


Says Gil “I was so excited to win both prizes, I worked very hard so I felt very reward”


“This is award of hard work and recognition of the time and effort spent on the course.


"In such a competitive environment, winning these awards really sets you apart and gives you differentiation.”


Grosvenor Master of Property Development Award recognises academic excellence in the Master of Property Development Course whilst The Chartered Institute of Building Australiasia award rewards the student who obtains the highest weighted mark in Construction Cost Planning.


Gil is currently completing her Masters of Property Development at UTS.


The UTS annual Prize Giving Ceremony for the Faculty of Design, Architecture and works with industry to reward students who have demonstrated exceptional ability with over 40 prizes, worth over $60,000 won on the night.
