Career switch proves to be the right move for Mona Vale student

Mona Vale construction student, Geoffrey Davis is set for a promising career in the building industry after receiving the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NSW Chapter) Prize at the UTS: Design, Architecture and Building Prize Giving Ceremony.

"I feel privileged to have won this award. It justifies all the hard work I have done to attain ongoing high marks.

"This award will no doubt add some weight to potential employers," Geoffrey said.

Switching from the civil engineering course at UTS, Geoffrey believed that his strongest attributes were in a more practical field of work.

"The construction course is a highly recognised course within the construction industry and allows me to pursue my interest in becoming a property developer," he said.

The Bachelor of Construction is concerned with the management of all aspects of the construction process, including business management, construction technology, project management, quantity surveying, applied economics, contract administration and property development.
