Australia's First Project Management Researcher Forum

The University of Technology, Sydney's School of Built Environment has hosted the inaugural Australian Project Management Researcher Forum. The initiative was a collaboration between the University of Wollongong, The Australian Defence Force Academy which is part of the University of NSW and UTS. The Forum was a first for the two industry associations, the Australian Institute of Project Management and the Project Management Institute (PMI) to work together as sponsors. Over 50 active researchers from Professor's to Masters students registered to attend the Forum and presented their current work in project management. Delegates were also asked to complete a survey that will form the basis of several papers and an Australian Researcher Directory will be published. Already several research collaborations have emerged and plans are underway for a Research Conference in 2010.
