UTS Adjunct Professor John Sheehan, spoke in Albury last month at a seminar involving valuers, financial professionals and farm management personnel.
The Chair for Australian Property Institute’s Carbon Property Rights Committee, spoke in favour of an emissions trading scheme rather than a carbon tax.
Sheehan said the drought-affected triangle formed by Albury, Wagga and Urana offered farmland where eucalypt trees could be planted to act as carbon sinks.
More of his discussion at the seminar is reported in The Border Mail.
