Biography
Dave Pigram is an architect, educator and researcher who has relocated to Sydney after living and working in New York for many years.

He is a founding partner of supermanoeuvre, an internationally-recognised collaborative architecture and design practice operating out of New York and London. The practice won the ‘Young Architect’s Forum [YAF], Atlanta: Design Build Challenge’ and the ‘UTS Open Agenda 2010’ competitions. It is also shortlisted in the Powerhouse Museum’s International Lace Award 2010-2011. The studio represented Australia at the 2008 and 2010 Beijing Architecture Biennales.

Dave’s work has been exhibited at the UN Habitat World Urban Forum, the National Museum of Australia, the Gallery of Australian Design, RAIA National Headquarters as well as in Lisbon, Paris, Florence, New York, Los Angeles, Beijing, Lexington, Melbourne and Auckland.

Educated in USA, Australia, Finland and Thailand, Dave has worked for Studio Daniel Libeskind, has taught at the Architecture Association (AA) in London, Columbia’s Graduate School of Architecture, Preservation and Planning (GSAPP), Princeton University, the Pratt Institute and the University of Michigan and been an invited jury critic for the Southern California Institute of Architecture (Sci-Arc), University of Pennsylvania, and Cornell and Goa universities.

In addition to his role as Course Director of the Master of Advanced Architecture, Design Technologies program at UTS, Dave serves on the advisory panel for the Masters of Digital Design Program at the University of Canberra, is a former University of Michigan Visiting Professor of Practice, and continues to co-direct research into algorithmic and robotic fabrication as a co-founder of the International Fabrication Robotics Network.
