L&C forum: Exploring learner support practices in VET

Exploring learner support practices in VET
Australian VET Research Association, in partnership with UTS Centre for Research in Learning and Change invites you to an October VET forum.
This event will focus on an area receiving increasing attention - that of literacy and numeracy needs of VET learners, and how they can be best met. A national research project underway on this topic will be presented by Stephen Black and Keiko Yasukawa to provide a background and a summary of what this research has found so far. A small panel of VET teachers and learner support teachers will be invited to share their perspectives and experiences of learning support. Participants will then be asked to discuss questions around learner support practices in their sections/ organisations; professional learning of vocational and learner support teachers working together; and questions for further research. There will be drinks and refreshments at the end of the session.
