Rain sets scene for roo bonanza: long grass likely to disguise mob numbers

You may not be able to see them behind the long grass around Canberra, but the kangaroo boom is coming. Abundant rain has created a lot more feed for the native animals
than in previous years, which is expected to boost population numbers in the seasons ahead... A research group based at Sydney's University of Technology, THINKK, issued a report a fortnight ago that found some of the assumptions that underpinned the kangaroo culls were misguided and not based on scientific evidence.
