Congratulations to Dana Cordell and Tanzi Smith who graduated from the Institute’s postgraduate program in May.
Dana’s thesis titled ‘Sustainability implications of global phosphorus scarcity for food security’. Dana is continuing to work with the Institute as a Research Principal and maintains the Global Phosphorus Research Initiative web site.
Tanzi’s thesis is titled: ‘Connecting the social and ecological: an exploration of learning-oriented, systemic practice in the field of environment and development’. She is currently Project Officer for the Mary River Threatened Species Recovery Plan.
The Institute offers a Doctoral program in Sustainable Futures (three years full time) and a Masters by Research program in Sustainable Futures (two years full time)
Research supervision is available in diverse areas that relate to sustainability including sustainable resource use (energy, water, materials, nutrients etc), climate change response, sustainable urban infrastructure, social and cultural dimensions of sustainability, international development and futures studies.
