Science Meets Parliament: a climate for change? With climate change topping the political agenda at the moment, ISF's climate change expert, Dr. Chris Riedy, was keen to participate in this year's Science meets Parliament on 27 and 28 March along with other experts on renewable energy, clean fossil fuel technologies, nuclear energy issues and adaptation to climate change.

Water for Life: decentralised infrastructure as a key. 'Water is at the heart of all life. In the past, we built water and wastewater infrastructure to protect ourselves from diseases, floods, and droughts. Now we see that fundamental life systems are in danger of collapse from the disruptions caused by this infrastructure.' So begins the 'The Baltimore Charter For Sustainable Water Systems'.

Staff Profile: Ed Langham. Ed Langham joined ISF in February to help on research projects and coordinate tender applications, especially those dealing with energy and water use in the built environment.

Getting the Basics Right. A report written by ISF researchers on the role of domestic water and sanitation in reducing poverty and achieving sustainable development in our region: 'Getting the Basics Right, Water and Sanitation in South East Asia and the Pacific' has recently been released.
