Biography
In September 2008 Sally joined ISF as a part-time Senior Research Consultant. Sally holds key expertise in corporate sustainability, international development and education for sustainability across the Asia/Pacific region. Her previous roles involved working for and with research institutions, NGOs, the private sector and collaboratively with national, state and local governments.
At ISF Sally draws on a decade of experience gained through combining the social research and communications side of sustainability with technical expertise and policy development. Her strong project management experience in assisting public and private sector organisations to make the change toward practical sustainability is complemented by her provision of innovative stakeholder engagement tools and techniques.
Sally’s diverse and cross disciplinary client and collaborative base to date has included working with NSW Department of Environment and Climate Change, an Extended Producer Responsibility Trust, Macquarie Bank, NSW Local Government Management Association, many local councils, Waste Management Association of Australia, WasteMINZ, Keep Australia Beautiful NSW, ZeroWaste SA, NSW Roads and Traffic Authority, QLD Environmental Protection Authority, Sydney Olympic Youth Camp, Natura Ecotours, Live & Learn Environmental Education, the Cambodian Ministry of Youth, Education and Sports, the Fiji Ministry of Education, Asian Development Bank, Global Environment Facility, South Pacific Regional Environment Program, AusAID, UNDP, UNESCO, and the European Commission. Her qualifications and experience give her a strong understanding of how different organisations in developed and developing countries work and how they can deal with the challenges of balancing financial, environmental and
social outcomes to create change for sustainability.
In June 2008 Sally launched InSIGHT Sustainability Pty Ltd and currently strikes a complementary balance between ISF and InSIGHT projects.
