Enhancing Practice conference 2012

Enhancing Practice 2012 is an international conference that aims to present a program which is participative, innovative, stimulating, thought-provoking and enriching by offering networking and learning opportunities to new and experienced, parishioners, practice developers, facilitators, educators, researchers and policy makers.

Held in Sydney for the first time and convened by UTS Professor of Nursing Valerie Wilson, the conference program will be carried across three main streams:

Embedding Practice Development

• building capacity and sustainability (being responsive)
• the role of leadership
• innovations in practice (outcomes and cultural change)

Evidence and ethical perspectives within Practice Development

• evidence to inform practice change
• ethical considerations in undertaking PD work
• are we doing what we say we are doing - person centeredness in action

Enabling individuals and groups to flourish

• engaging marginalised groups
• recognising, growing and working with potential
• using innovative approaches in Practice Development
