UTS to advise NHMRC on early/mid-career researcher issues

UTS: Nursing, Midwifery and Health academics Associate Professor Margaret Fry and Dr Sally Inglis have been appointed to the National Health and Medical Research Council's (NHMRC's) Postdoctoral Reference Group. This Reference Group has been established to provide a forum for early to mid-career researchers to interact with and advise NHMRC.

The aim of this group is to provide feedback on issues of relevance to those crucial post PhD years in researchers’ careers, in order to better inform the deliberations of Research Committee. While this will include issues connected with Early Career Fellowships and Career Development Fellowships, it will also encompass broader issues applying to all funding schemes and other matters that may affect developing researchers.

They are two of the six successful nominations from UTS.
