Marine Biology Facebook Project

The UTS Marine Biology for Schools Facebook page is a joint effort between The Plant Functional Biology and Climate Change Cluster (C3) and the Department of Environmental Sciences to engage and inspire school teachers and students who have a passion for the marine environment.

UTS Marine Biology for Schools is a platform for UTS scientists and students to show high school students amazing images and videos from their research and field trips. The Facebook page will also be used to develop teaching resources based on the school curricula so that teachers will be better equipped in the classroom.

In April a video competition will be launched for high school students in years 9 - 12 to get them to think about the marine environment. The winner will get the opportunity to spend a day with UTS Marine Biologists and much more!

Right now we need lots of Facebook fans for the page to really get things rolling so we are asking the broader UTS Science community to join up and let their friends and family know, especially if they are High school teachers and students.
