Power of women film screenings

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Security Council Resolution 1325, in association with Young UNIFEM (opens an external site), we will be running a day and evening screening of the award-winning documentary Pray the Devil Back to Hell (opens an external site), followed by Q&A panel with guest speakers and follow-up discussion at the Loft Bar.

Pray the Devil Back to Hell is the gripping account of a group of brave and visionary women who demanded peace for Liberia, a nation torn to shreds by a decades-old civil war. The event aims to raise awareness not only about this particular group’s struggle and efforts at peace building but more broadly the power of women worldwide in conflict situations.
